Once this geolocation lookup is complete, the IP address is immediately discarded and is never written to disk or stored in any Google Analytics report or database. At no point is the full IP address retained by Google or accessible to us as the website operator.

This process applies to all users. For users based in the European Union, Google additionally processes data via EU-based domains before forwarding to Analytics servers, providing an additional layer of data protection.
